Who can refer
Starlink says the referral program is open to customers on an active Residential or Roam plan, in most places where Starlink is available. The program has to show in your Starlink account. On the web the tab is called Referrals. You share your own referral link, not a public code.
What you earn
Each eligible referral earns the same value as a service credit or as cash. The amount depends on the country the person you referred signed up in, and your account shows the real amount. Starlink's example is $100 per successful referral in the US. Other countries differ.
Rewards default to service credit, which comes off your next invoice. In most countries you can switch to cash, linked to your bank account, under the Referrals tab. Check Referral Reward Types in your account to see whether cash is offered where you are. Your reward type is based on the choice you have selected when the reward pays out. The person you refer still gets their free month even if you choose cash.
When it pays
A click or an order is not a payout. Starlink says rewards are issued after the person you referred subscribes for two months, and as soon as 60 days after they activate. Starlink emails you when someone buys through your link. You can track referrals and rewards under Referrals on the web or in the Starlink app.
What counts
- The person must be a new Starlink customer. Existing or returning customers do not count.
- They must order on starlink.com through your link. Kits from resellers or retailers, and account transfers, do not count.
- They must pick a Residential or Roam plan, activate, and stay subscribed for at least two months.
- Their free month is a service credit on their second month. They still pay for the kit and the first month.
Before sharing the link
- Open Referrals in your Starlink account.
- Check the amount and whether cash is offered.
- If you want cash, switch to cash first.
- Send your link and tell them to order on starlink.com from it.
