Is Starlink worth it in 2026?
Starlink is worth it if cable or fiber cannot reach your home. It is usually not worth it if you already have fiber or cable at a fair price.

When it makes sense
- Cable and fiber are not offered at your address.
- Your current option is old DSL, a weak fixed-wireless link, or satellite with tight data limits.
- You need decent speed for video calls, streaming or work.
When to skip it
- You can get fiber or cable. Both usually cost less and are steadier.
- You cannot mount the dish where it sees open sky. Trees and roofs cause drops.
